Gariaband: Naxalites carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh each surrendered with automatic weapons

As a result of the awareness campaign being continuously run by the District Gariaband Police in the Naxal-affected interior areas and the publicity under the rehabilitation/surrender policy of the government, 01 male and 02 female hard core Maoists surrendered before the Gariaband Police.

Let us tell you that in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh, three Naxalites carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh each have surrendered with automatic weapons. These Naxalites were active in the area for a long time and have been involved in many incidents.

Names of the surrendered Naxalites:

Dilip alias Santu (Deputy Commander of SDK Area Committee)

Manjula alias Lakhmi (Female Naxalite)

Sunita alias Jumki (Female Naxalite)

Special points of surrender:

These Naxalites surrendered before senior police officials.

IG Amresh Mishra and ADG Gariaband, who arrived from Raipur, were also present during the surrender. These Naxalites have also deposited automatic weapons with them.

These Naxalites have expressed their desire to live a new life by joining the mainstream of developing Chhattisgarh.

The police have given these Naxalites an amount of Rs 25,000 under the surrender policy and they will also be given other facilities.

This surrender is a big success for the Gariaband police. This will help in curbing the activities of Naxalites in the area.
